Graduates earn 216 degrees from Washington Adventist University


About 30.1 percent of the 216 degrees and certificates handed out by Washington Adventist University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Park conferred 41 bachelor's degrees and 24 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 32 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 28 master's degrees in counseling psychology and 17 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 1,069 students for 2017-18, including 873 in undergraduate programs and 196 in graduate programs.
