About 79.8 percent of the 619 degrees and certificates handed out by Strayer University-Maryland in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Suitland conferred 201 bachelor's degrees and 184 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business/commerce. Data shows the school gave out 179 bachelor's degrees in general business/commerce, followed by 162 master's degrees in general business administration and management and 101 associate's degrees in general business/commerce.
The university enrolled 2,915 students for 2017-18, including 2,294 in undergraduate programs and 621 in graduate programs.
