7.5 percent of University of Maryland Eastern Shore students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 7.5 percentage of University of Maryland Eastern Shore students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

University of Maryland Eastern Shore has 2,861 undergraduate students, of which 55 percent are women and 45 percent are men, and a total student body of 3,490 students. Of these students, 128 men and 134 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at University of Maryland Eastern Shore with the most participants are all track combined (135), basketball (32) and baseball (29).
