24.7 percent of Washington College students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 24.7 percentage of Washington College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Washington College has a total student body of 1,484 students, of which 58 percent are women and 42 percent are men. Of these students, 178 men and 188 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Washington College with the most participants are lacrosse (65), rowing (62) and soccer (53).
