85 percent of applicants to McDaniel College were admitted for fall 2017


At McDaniel College, 97 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 51 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Westminster enrolled 2,819 students in fall 2017, including 1,590 in undergraduate and 1,229 in graduate programs, data shows. 12.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

64 percent of undergraduates are residents of Maryland, and 34 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (65 percent) and Black or African American (14 percent).

The school admitted 85 percent of the 2,814 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
