Cost of college went up for all students at Frederick School of Cosmetology

Tuition and fees rose 12.4 percent for 2017-18 at Frederick School of Cosmetology, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.


Tuition and fees rose 12.4 percent for 2017-18 at Frederick School of Cosmetology, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Maryland students paid $18,150 to attend the private for-profit school this year $2,000 more than the $16,150 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 80 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 5 students received grants or scholarships totaling $28,875 and 8 students took out student loans totaling more than $64,000.

Including all undergraduates, 16 students used grants or scholarships totaling $77,787. Another 22 took out $173,427 in federal student loans.
