About 37.4 percent of the 490 degrees and certificates handed out by the Baltimore City Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Baltimore conferred 145 associate's degrees and 38 certificates in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in General Studies. Data shows the school gave out 116 associate's degrees in General Studies, followed by 73 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 29 associate's degrees in Business/Commerce, General.

The college enrolled 4,409 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
