The Tucson Metro Chamber recently put out a help wanted ad, asking for applications from "all young, dynamic, engaged, driven, upwardly mobile and top performers.” The positions it's looking to fill are seats on the Emerging Leaders Council (ELC).

The ELC's mission is to improve both the local business climate and its members career prospects. It is composed of a diverse team of go-getters under 40 years of age who take on social, economic and political issues of the day.

Members of the team meet regularly to discuss pertinent topics, and the council also hosts guest speakers, including elected leaders and business people who can offer their own insights.

Applications are being accepted until February 28.
